The Third Space is a new section of Asia NOW  launched in 2025; curated by Valentina Rosas Saad presenting installation works, moving-image, visual art, and performances as a parcours throughout La Monnaie de Paris, extending the fair beyond the booth into the building’s corridors, vestibules, staircases, and courtyards.

Its name and logic come from the theorist Homi Bhabha, whose concept of the “third space” describes the site where cultures meet: intersect, translate, and transform one another. Meaning, Bhabha argues, is not produced within a single culture. It emerges in the space between them.

The Third Space at Asia NOW takes this literally: it is a section conceived around a condition. Galleries, institutions, and independent platforms from across Asia  audits diaspora are brought into proximity with one another.  A site for experimentation and cross-border collaboration.
