Exhibiting Gallery
Galerie LJ
For Asia Now 2024, Galerie LJ proposes a 2-person show by Indian visual artist Rithika Merchant and Georgian painter Rusudan Khizanishvili, ideally suited to the Cour d’Honneur. This project will highlight the dialogue between the two artists’ common themes: the influence of age-old myths and traditions in their work, a feminist or even matriarchal vision of society, and a future envisaged through transhumanism.
In this encounter between the works of Rithika Merchant and Rusudan Khizanishvili, ancient myths converse with futuristic visions, revealing the richness and complexity of the human condition. Through their visual explorations, these two artists encourage us to question our relationship to the world, to nature and to ourselves, opening up new avenues of reflection and understanding. Faced with the dialogue of their works, we are invited on a timeless journey, where each painting is a stage in our eternal quest for meaning and truth.
